01It fits close in the bigger sizes. Is that right?
Yes, and it is on purpose. From 12-18m to 3T it is a tight-fitting pajama, and the notice that goes with it reads: For child's safety, garment should fit snugly. This garment is not flame resistant. Loose-fitting garment is more likely to catch fire. So choose the size by the height and weight on the chart and never a size up for room to grow. A close fit is easy to wear in this knit, because the spandex stretches with every kick and crawl, and the fold-over feet are what give each size a little more life as legs get longer.
02Is the zipper easy in the middle of the night?
That is what it is built for. The 2-way zipper runs from the neck to the ankle, so you can unzip from the bottom, change the diaper and leave the top zipped, with chest and arms covered. For dressing, open it fully from the top, step the legs in, slide the arms through and zip up. There are no snaps or buttons anywhere, so there is nothing to line up by feel in a dim room.
