01How do I measure for the right size?
Take a tape measure around your thigh 4 in above the top of your kneecap, standing up, and order by that number. Do not order by your trouser size and do not guess: the thigh is the part of the leg the sleeve has to hold, and it is the only measurement that predicts whether it stays up. The seven sizes are S for 12.5 to 15 in, M for 15.5 to 18.5 in, L for 19 to 21.5 in, XL for 22 to 23.5 in, 2XL for 24 to 26 in, 3XL for 26.5 to 28.5 in and 4XL for 29 to 32 in. Two notes from experience. If you land between two sizes, the smaller one holds more firmly and the larger one is more comfortable to keep on for hours, so choose by how you plan to wear it. And if you want one for each leg, measure both: they are often not the same.
02Will it dig into my leg at the top?
The band at the top is wide, and that is the whole design decision. A narrow elastic has to do all its gripping along one thin line, and that line is what leaves a groove across the thigh by the evening. A wide band spreads the same hold over more skin, so it stays put without marking. If it is still digging in after you have worn it for a day, the size is too small. That is a size swap, not a fault.
03Can I keep it on overnight?
Yes, and it is what most people who buy this end up doing. There is no hinge, no strap, no buckle and no hard seam, so there is nothing that presses into the mattress or into your other leg when you turn over. Take it off in the morning and give the skin a few hours without it, and wash it regularly rather than wearing the same one every night. That is the honest reason people end up with two.
04Does it contain latex?
Yes. This sleeve contains latex. We put that in the buying section too, because it is the one piece of information on this page that can matter more than everything else put together. 05Is this the same as a rigid brace?

It has no hinges, no side stabilizers and no straps, so it does not limit how far the joint moves. If you have been told you need something that controls movement or gives lateral support, this is not that product. And for any medical concern about your knee, talk to a qualified professional first. We are not one, and neither is a knee sleeve.
06How do I wash it?
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and air dry it flat or hanging. No hot water, no tumble dryer and no ironing: heat is what breaks down the stretch and a sleeve that has lost its stretch has lost the only thing it does. Wash it regularly if you are wearing it every day, and if you are wearing it overnight as well, having a second one in the drawer is less about upselling you and more about what actually happens on laundry day.
