How is this different from a normal travel pillow?

The classic horseshoe is open at the front, which is exactly the direction your head goes the moment you fall asleep sitting up. This one wraps all the way around and fastens at the front, so the circle is closed and your head has nowhere to drop.

How does the closure work?

A wide velcro band that you wrap and press shut at whatever tension suits you. Not three preset sizes to choose between, just the exact point where your head feels held and your throat does not. And it comes undone in a second when the seatbelt sign goes on.

How do I clean it?

The cotton cover comes off and is hand wash only. The pillow itself should never go in the washing machine. We would rather tell you that here than have you find out afterwards. The cover takes about two minutes in the sink.

01How is this different from a normal travel pillow?
The problem with sleeping sitting up was never supporting the back of your head, it was stopping your head falling forward. The classic horseshoe is open at the front, which is the one direction it needs to hold. This one wraps around and fastens at the front, closing the circle, so when you drift off your chin has nowhere to go.
02Why a velcro closure?
Because it adjusts continuously rather than in steps. A buckle gives you a set of fixed notches and you pick the one closest to right. Velcro lets you land on the exact tension where your head is held and there is no pressure on your throat, which on a one-size product is the whole game. The trade is that you keep it away from long hair and loose knits while you fasten it.
03Is the cover machine washable?
No, and we would rather say so on the page than let you discover it at home. The cotton cover is removable and hand wash only, and the pillow itself should never go in the washing machine. 04Is there more than one size?
One size, with the closure doing the fitting. It adjusts across a wide range of neck sizes, and it is recommended for ages 14 and up because of the way it sits. One tip that is not obvious: if you cannot find a comfortable position, turn it around and wear it the other way. A lot of people end up preferring it like that.
05Can I use it in a car or on a train?

06Does it pack down for a carry on?
